Mother Nature’s Best Kept Secret

Not only is it a huge treat to receive roses for a special occasion, but the body also dotes over them. Roses are beauty’s magic potion; our skin derives endless benefits from rose hip oil, rosewater and even consuming rose hips. It’s everything your skin loves and craves.

Roses have a long and colorful history. They have been symbols of love, beauty, and war. June is National Rose Month so why not indulge in and learn more about the power of the rose.

Rose hip and rosewater naturally aids in tightening, balancing and toning the skin. We're talking about reducing the appearance of wrinkles (anti-aging), sun damage, redness and enhancing that summer glow. Rose based products are the perfect companion to your daily routine, many of our natural beauty fans use Nourish Organic Rose products on their face and body. They work great on all skin types – however, they have enhanced benefit for people with dry, sensitive, and mature skin. Whatever your skin type, you should see a visible change in your skin’s appearance after about 3-4 weeks (each person is a little different).

Benefits of Rose hips and Rosewater for the Skin:

Rose Hip Oil:

  • Endless vitamins and minerals - Essential fatty acids, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin A, B-complex, calcium, magnesium, iron, and several antioxidants.
  • Hydrating- Leaves you feeling hydrated and renewed, perfect for dry skin.
  • Reduces Blemishes - Nourishes blemish prone skin, reduces signs of marks, redness, and oily skin.
  • Anti-aging - Tightens the skin, minimizes large pores, and look of wrinkles.
  • Enhanced Texture – Reduces the appearance of stretch marks, dark spots, scars, and burns.

Rosewater:

  • pH Balanced – Maintaining the right balance between acidity and alkalinity allows the skin to be healthy and equalized (our skin looks and functions best in the middle).
  • Tone and Texture - Evens out tone, improves texture, softens skin for a healthier, radiant complexation.
  • Calming - Reduces swelling and skin irritation.
  • Anti-aging - Improves skin elasticity, increased firmness, and enhances your youthful glow.
  • Nutrient Rich - replenishes essential skin nutrients, boosts defenses, and helps clear impurities.

To celebrate National Rose Month, we are offering 50% off your favorite rose products, however, we're featuring a different product each week! Here’s a sneak a peek at what you can expect: Rose Body Oil Mist (June 7-13th), Rose Face Lotion (June 14-20th), Rose Face Toner (June 21-27th), so mark your calendars and follow our rose collection page for weekly sales!

Why We're Committed to B-Corp Social Good & Beauty with a Purpose

So you are probably wondering what the heck is B-Corp certified? Don’t worry you’re not alone. We’ve asked our CEO Rob Robillard to give us some highlights of what this means to the products you adore.

For starters, what is B-Corp certified?

The B-Corp website says, B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee, or USDA Organic certification is to skincare. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today, there is a growing community of more than 1,600 Certified B Corps from 42 countries and over 120 industries working together toward one unifying goal: to redefine success in business.”

Why did Nourish Organic strive for this status?

Well, number one it's one of the most trustworthy eco-certifications a business can achieve, and we are a company that always strives for sustainability.  Frankly the certification is just an acknowledgment of all the hard work we have been doing for years to provide healthy products and support our employees and the communities we serve.  What was great about the process is that it pushed us even farther on working with our suppliers and internal process. It made us even better.

It seems to be a global movement, what is it all about?

You're right! It's a global social change movement that is looking to solve social and environmental problems. Ultimately it redefines what business success looks like and places a level of responsibility.  In the end, it's really simple; consumers are driving the change.  Consumers are demanding the change.  Companies that embrace it will win in the long term.  We’re happy to give consumers what they want while adhering to the integrity and values of our brand.

How is Nourish Organic helping to solve social and environmental problems?

Our impact really starts with our products. Providing certified organic skincare not only helps to improve the health and wellness of consumers around the world but also goes to support strong and sustainable agricultural practices. It’s rewarding to know that our skincare helps to build and grow organic farming across the globe.

We also have an unyielding commitment to our local community in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It’s a town that has been hit by the shift of steel production outside the US.  Unemployment is high, and there is a strong concentration of recovering addicts and previously incarcerated folks trying to make a better life. Not only do we provide great employment opportunities in the community, but we also offer stock options to all employees, health care and matching 401K from day one, but we also have a minimum $10.10 per hour pay rate (well above the livable wage for our area).

It’s so great to wake up every day knowing that our company is not only successful commercially, but also that we can help solve so many problems right here in our backyard. Every choice makes a difference, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem.
